Since February 2019, I have been a graphic designer behind the external branding and marketing for Google Earth. I work cross-functionally to shape the visual identity of the ‘Geo for Good’ brand. I create marketing assets and campaigns to help drive consumer adoption and brand awareness, as well as mentor fellow designers. I work at the Mountain View headquarters and am contracted through the company, Adecco.
Video & Motion Graphics
Using After Effects, Google Earth Engine, and Earth Studio, I designed motion videos to show new features within Google Earth. These included video compilations, motion infographics explaining data retrieval, and more. These videos were used on Google Earth’s social media, as well as their Youtube channel, in the form of videos and gifs.
Infographics
I created various infographics for different teams within the Google Earth department. Working cross-functionally with engineers and scientists, I was given complex data & equations. I then created a simplified visual story from them using icons and grids. They were used in presentations and print-outs.
Environmental Design
I branded and designed the booth display for Google Environment Day in Mountain View, California. The booth showed what Geo for Good was working on, with the goal to attract new volunteers. It consisted of a mosaic of large-format posters, representing different facets of the team. I was given the imagery and then created an icon for each organization. The posters were attached by metal rings and hung from the booth. The assets were all printed on eco-friendly boards, making the booth completely sustainable.
Logo
I contributed logo designs for internal/external events, like this Seattle-based event.
